The 2027 Tesla Cybertruck stands out as a unique entrant in the electric pickup truck market, blending a divisive aesthetic with remarkable functionality. It offers robust performance, thanks to its standard dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and an even more powerful tri-motor Cyberbeast variant. Despite its futuristic and unpainted stainless-steel exterior, which owners might consider wrapping, the vehicle provides a spacious, albeit minimalist, interior centered around a large touchscreen display. With production slated to end in mid-2027, this distinctive electric truck promises impressive range, towing capacity, and advanced driver-assistance features, catering to those seeking a blend of innovation and utility.

For the 2027 model year, Tesla has streamlined the Cybertruck lineup by discontinuing the rear-wheel-drive, single-motor model. This change establishes the dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration as the new entry point for the series. Consequently, the base model, now featuring 593 horsepower, shares its powertrain with the Premium trim, while the top-tier Cyberbeast boasts an exhilarating 834 horsepower from its tri-motor setup. This power allows the Cyberbeast to achieve a 0-60 mph time of just 2.6 seconds, outperforming several high-performance vehicles, including the Rivian R1T and matching the Chevy Corvette C8 Z06. The Premium and Cyberbeast variants also come equipped with an adjustable air suspension, providing up to 16 inches of ground clearance, which enhances its off-road prowess with impressive 35-degree approach and 28-degree departure angles. However, the base model utilizes a conventional coil-spring suspension paired with adaptive dampers. The Cybertruck's advanced steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel steering contribute to its surprising agility, making it feel less cumbersome than its size suggests, particularly in urban environments. Adding to its distinctive features, the Cybertruck's stainless-steel body, while durable, is delivered unpainted, which may lead to visible fingerprints and necessitates considering a vehicle wrap for personalized aesthetics.

Inside the cabin, the Cybertruck maintains Tesla's characteristic minimalist design philosophy. An expansive 18.5-inch central touchscreen serves as the primary interface for almost all vehicle controls and instrumentation, reducing the need for physical buttons. Premium and Cyberbeast models further enhance the experience with heated and ventilated front seats and an additional 9.4-inch touchscreen for rear passengers. Despite its sharply angled roofline, rear-seat headroom remains surprisingly ample. Cargo flexibility is notable, with a front trunk (frunk) capable of holding one carry-on bag and a main cabin that accommodates 22 suitcases with the rear seats folded. The 121-cubic-foot composite cargo bed also includes a concealed underfloor storage compartment. In terms of range, the Cyberbeast model achieved 250 miles in independent highway testing, while Tesla estimates a total range between 301 and 325 miles across the lineup. Charging capabilities are efficient, with the base model recovering 132 miles in 15 minutes via a Supercharger, and the Cyberbeast regaining 135 miles in the same period. In real-world tests, it took approximately 50 minutes to charge the Cyberbeast from 10 to 50 percent. Due to its classification as a heavy-duty pickup, the EPA does not require Tesla to report fuel economy figures; however, mixed driving observations indicated 55 MPGe for the Cyberbeast. All Cybertrucks include Tesla's Autopilot system as standard, with the full self-driving (supervised) system available as an option. While a comprehensive warranty is provided, it does not include complimentary maintenance.

With production slated to conclude in mid-2027, potential buyers looking to own this distinctive electric truck are advised to act swiftly. The 2027 Cybertruck, available in dual-motor and tri-motor configurations, offers impressive towing capacities of up to 11,000 pounds for the Premium and Cyberbeast models, and 7,500 pounds for the base trim. Payload capacity can reach 2,500 pounds for the all-terrain-equipped Premium model, highlighting its practical utility. Despite its unconventional appearance, the Cybertruck’s blend of power, range, and unique features solidifies its position as a remarkable, albeit short-lived, offering in the evolving landscape of electric vehicles.
