Chris LaMartina, renowned for his cult classic 'WNUF Halloween Special,' is set to launch his newest seasonal cinematic endeavor, 'Spirit Tastings.' This exclusive report details the film's unique narrative, its cast, the accelerated production timeline, and the upcoming roadshow screenings planned across the nation. Audiences can anticipate a blend of eerie storytelling and suspense, characteristic of LaMartina's distinctive style, before the film's eventual Blu-ray debut.

Helmed by writer-director Chris LaMartina, 'Spirit Tastings' is a New Year's Eve-themed horror film produced by Terror Vision Original Productions. The plot, drawing inspiration from 'The Monkey's Paw,' centers on three former punk band members—portrayed by Sean Doherty, Melissa LaMartina, and Trevor Wilhelms. They gather at a distillery on New Year's Eve to honor their deceased bandmate. A peculiar sommelier, played by Matt Lake, extends an invitation to a special tasting, where each bottle demands a 'wish.' As their desires turn ominous, these old companions realize that every drink at the Red Bat Distillery exacts a grave cost.

The ensemble cast further includes Matt Baughman, Cate Paris, and Tatiana Nya Ford, with special appearances by notable genre figures such as Grady Hendrix, Clay McLeod Chapman, Peaches Christ, and Henry Zebrowski. Chris LaMartina directed and edited the picture, co-writing the script with Michael Varrati. The production team comprises Melissa LaMartina, Chris LaMartina, Varrati, and Ted Geoghegan, with Ryan Graveface serving as executive producer.

Emulating the spirit of B-movie legends like Roger Corman, the film was brought to life in a mere four days with a budget of $40,000, coinciding with Chris LaMartina's 40th birthday celebration. This efficient production process underscores a dedication to independent filmmaking and a passion for the horror genre.

Following its theatrical run, the film will be made available on Blu-ray. LaMartina and selected cast members are slated to attend each roadshow event, offering fans a unique opportunity to engage with the creators and experience the film collectively.

LaMartina's new project promises to deliver a chilling and unique New Year's Eve experience for horror enthusiasts. The film’s rapid creation and its narrative, infused with elements of supernatural wish-granting and dire consequences, highlight a fresh take on classic horror tropes. With a dedicated roadshow leading into a physical media release, 'Spirit Tastings' is poised to capture the attention of genre fans, offering an immersive cinematic journey.
