Devotees of the animated feature KPop Demon Hunters have new cause for excitement. Netflix has officially revealed an interactive, in-person adventure titled KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience. This unique, music-infused event will be hosted at select Netflix House venues, promising an engaging journey for fans. A key highlight of this immersive endeavor is the opportunity for attendees to encounter the beloved character, Derpy Tiger.

Netflix Invites Fans to Battle Demons in a KPop-Themed Immersive Adventure

Netflix's latest venture, KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience, transports fans directly into the vibrant world of Huntr/x. The adventure commences backstage, just before Huntr/x's highly anticipated global tour debut. However, the excitement is abruptly interrupted when the film's primary antagonist, Gwi-Ma, launches an attack on the venue. Participants will then join Huntr/x in a thrilling battle against demonic forces, utilizing interactive environments, cutting-edge screens, and advanced 3D technology.

This narrative-driven event weaves its story through a series of music-focused and challenge-based activities, brought to life by live performers and specially created animations. The entire experience is set to the film's original soundtrack, featuring popular tracks like “Golden” and “How It's Done,” ensuring a truly authentic and dynamic immersion.

Marian Lee, Netflix's Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the significance of the Netflix House event, stating that fans desire more than just passive viewing; they wish to inhabit the world of Huntr/x. She highlighted Netflix House as the ideal setting for such fandoms to thrive year-round, making it the perfect home for all that KPop Demon Hunters enthusiasts have longed for. Every aspect, from singing beloved songs and confronting demons to interacting with Derpy Tiger, is meticulously crafted to allow fans of all ages to fully sense, hear, and visualize this world exactly as they've envisioned it.

The immersive event will be staged at the Netflix House locations in Dallas and Philadelphia. Exclusive early ticket access begins on September 22 for MasterCard customers, followed by Netflix members on September 29. General public sales open on October 1. Admission prices are set at $39 for general tickets and $34 for children aged three to twelve. A VIP package is also available, priced at $89 from Monday to Friday and $99 for weekend access. VIP guests will enjoy perks such as entry to the Netflix VIP lounge, a special themed gift, and priority entry, likely offering a skip-the-line benefit.

Earlier in the year, Netflix confirmed that a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is in development, with Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans at the helm. While initial reports suggested a 2029 release, a representative from Sony Pictures Animation indicated that such a timeline is improbable, given the extensive production period typically required for animated features of this scale.

This initiative by Netflix represents a growing trend in entertainment, where studios are actively seeking to deepen fan engagement beyond traditional media consumption. By creating interactive experiences like KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience, Netflix is not only celebrating its popular titles but also forging new avenues for community building and brand loyalty. It underscores the power of storytelling to transcend screens and create tangible, memorable adventures for audiences worldwide.
