Overwatch Unveils New Hero, Doctrine, Alongside Upcoming Reworks for Sombra and Roadhog

During a recent BlizzCon opening ceremony, Blizzard introduced Overwatch's newest combatant: Doctrine. This intriguing character is depicted as a cyborg vampire wielding mechanical bats, and his debut trailer hinted at a narrative connection to Doomfist, another prominent figure in the game's universe.

Players eager to experience Doctrine's unique abilities can participate in a hero trial that commenced shortly after the announcement and will continue throughout the weekend. While an official release date for Doctrine has not yet been provided, the game developers are maintaining a consistent schedule for introducing new heroes, with D. Mon having been launched just the previous month.

In addition to the new hero, Blizzard also revealed plans for substantial reworks for two of Overwatch's more challenging characters: Sombra and Roadhog.
