Now, Sorel, a respected name in sturdy boots, has teamed up with the influential Japanese fashion house Needles to introduce two weather-resistant footwear options ideal for the autumn season.
Over the last decade, Needles has expanded its global presence, introducing its unique vibrant palettes and patterns to a growing audience. The brand is well-known for its distinctive tracksuits, adorned with bold side stripes and embroidered butterflies, as well as its cozy cardigans featuring mesmerizing, almost hypnotic designs. Needles consistently embraces unconventional and playful elements in its apparel, a philosophy clearly reflected in its latest collaboration with Sorel, set to be released on September 25.
Sorel is primarily recognized for its durable 10-inch Caribou boot. This new collection draws inspiration from that iconic design, reinterpreting its robust, winter-ready characteristics into more streamlined models: the Ambler clog and chukka. The chukka boot, priced at $250, boasts a premium full-grain leather upper and a refined leather vamp. The clog, available for $200, offers a sleek, minimalist mule design. Both styles feature the expected plush comfort and water-resistant construction from a brand with over six decades of experience in crafting snow-defying footwear. Needles' distinctive purple hue infuses these rugged silhouettes with a contemporary fashion sensibility, while the brand's iconic butterfly emblem adds an additional touch of individuality.
