A new independent horror film, 'One Night In Purgatory', is set to captivate audiences with its unique premise and a compelling cast. The movie, marking the directorial debut of Robert Husted, has officially unveiled its lead actors, bringing together a blend of established and rising talents in the industry.

The stellar cast includes Alejandro Edda, known for his role in “Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty!”, Nick Stahl from “Sin City”, Michelle Mylett of “Letterkenny” fame, and Grace Dove, recognized for her performance in “The Revenant”. This diverse ensemble is expected to bring depth and intensity to the supernatural narrative. The plot centers around a rogue archangel, portrayed by Stahl, who finds himself with a single night on Earth. His mission is to persuade a guilt-ridden lawyer, played by Edda, to represent him in a celestial trial against both God and the Devil, all while navigating the perilous environment of a punk rock dive bar.

Production for 'One Night In Purgatory' has recently concluded in Calgary, and director Robert Husted describes the film as a nostalgic nod to classic horror. He emphasized the movie's commitment to gruesome practical effects and storylines that challenge conventional notions of good versus evil. The film's atmosphere is further enhanced by a score from the acclaimed electronica band Tangerine Dream, promising a truly immersive experience. The project is being produced by Chris Lorusso, Mike Hatton through his Ton of Hats banner, Stuart Davis, and Kyle Cooper and James M. Hausler of Beauregard Pictures. Both Edda and Stahl are also serving as executive producers, alongside Michael Walker and Jason Wan-Lim of Polyscope Pictures.

The film 'One Night In Purgatory' represents an exciting new entry into the horror genre, promising a thought-provoking narrative that challenges perceptions of morality and justice within a supernatural framework. With its talented cast, visionary director, and unique thematic elements, the movie is poised to offer a fresh and engaging cinematic experience. This production underscores the enduring appeal of stories that explore the boundaries between good and evil, and the unexpected places where such epic battles might unfold, reminding us that redemption and judgment can manifest in the most unconventional settings.
